Livestock shipping
Ship livestock across our routes with animal welfare at the front of every decision. In keeping
with our welfare policy we reserve the right to refuse any shipment we have concerns about, or
that we judge to be in violation of animal rights.
We do not import or export livestock intended for fattening or slaughter, other than on routes
where the animals remain with us. Cattle, pigs and sheep must be booked through the relevant
national association, transported to DEFRA-equivalent requirements, and accompanied by
documentation clearly showing the movement is for breeding. A surcharge applies.
'Livestock' also covers any animal shipped in quantity as a commodity — llamas, rabbits, insects,
fish and similar. Those can be booked directly with us, with a 25% surcharge, 24 hours' notice and
paperwork in advance.
